Bob Dylan Drawn Blank Series 2011 OFFICIAL IMAGES

Here at Castle Galleries Newcastle we are deeply honoured to be able to reveal to you exclusively, the brand new ‘Drawn Blank Series 2011’ release. There are 8 brand new pieces available to purchase, all of which are standard size with the paper measuring 27.5” by 22”, the same as previous releases of work and each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity to verify the piece.



Each piece is a limited edition of 295 and has been personally hand signed by Bob Dylan himself.

Please note, this is a worldwide edition number and will very soon sell out!
We are pleased to say that we can commence taking pre orders against these items NOW, ahead of the official worldwide release on the 23rd July. Bob Dylan - Drawn Blank Series 2011
Release Date - 15th July!!!

The date has finally been set, for the long awaited release of Bob Dylan's 'Drawn Blank' series 2011, which we are sure, as ever, will be hugely popular. Firstly we would like to announce that this new body of images will consist of 8 remarkable pieces of the standard size, 27.5” x 22" which will be available to
pre-order from the 15th of July, here at Newcastle.



This pre-order release date allows all Bob Dylan collectors, to have access to this fantastic new collection of work, as by the 23rd of July, the new Bob Dylan collection will be launched worldwide.

Previous titles from Dylan’s earlier collections have sold out in minutes, so please dont delay in contacting the team here at Castle Galleries Newcastle, for more information on these expressive and encapsulating works of art.

Bob Dylan Drawn Blank Series 2011


Castle Galleries Newcastle are delighted to announce that there will be a brand new release of work from the Bob Dylan 'Drawn Blank Series' this month.

Whilst travelling on tour between 1989 and 1992, Bob Dylan created a collection of drawings that were published in a book entitled 'Drawn Blank' in 1994. These expressive works capture Dylan's chance encounters and observations. The creation of these portraits, interiors, landscapes, still lifes, nudes and street scenes were done to "relax and refocus a restless mind".


Each edition is published in a limited number of no more than 295 copies worldwide. All are printed on Hahnemühle Museum Etching or Innova Soft Texture paper, certificated and personally signed by the artist.
 
For those of you who are farmiliar with Bob's work you will know that this is not an opportunity to be missed. Previous releases have seen certain images sell out in minutes so if you have any interest in any of these images please do not hesitate to contact us here at the gallery.

and his incredable new mixed media originals.

Stephen starts a piece by buildig up the pieces in a number of layers of relief texture and oil paint glazes, moving the paint around using a combination of palette knife, brush and old rags to create earthy effects. By using heavy texture his work has an almost sculptural quality with a tactile surface.

The combination of rough and smooth mediums coinciding with ever changing light creates the illusion of movement in the pieces. As a finishing touch he adds a high gloss coat which makes Stephen's mixed media pieces dazzle in the light and look almost glass like.
