Many people had searched for Charles and his missing paintings, but it was when a youg scholar uncovered a battered and forgotton old crate at the National Museum of Antiquities that the mystery began to unravel. The crate contained the lost paintings and Charles' and his extensive notes which revealed the extrodinary life of the great explorer, of which we see today.
