Here at Castle Fine Art Newcastle we are delighted to announce that on the 15th June, the master of optical illusion, John Wilson, will be joining us here at the gallery!

John will be here between 1 and 4pm when he will explain his incredibly complex technique called 'reverse perspective' and present his brand new collection of signed limited edition and original art.

John brings his quirky characters and miniature galleries to life in a collection which reveals the power of perspective and demonstrates that things are not always as they seem!

We are also holding a fantastic free prize draw where one lucky entrant will be picked at random to win a signed limited edition sculpture entitled 'Friends Forever'. This preview of our autumn collection includes two bold and vibrant boxed canvases from Queens of Colour; Louise Dear and Sarah Graham. Paul Kenton, one of our touring artists this autumn, brings us seven lively and energetic cityscapes crossing the pond from London to New York. .

Following the ‘sell-out’ debut collection that allowed many of our collectors to re-visit their childhood memories, we present an exciting and adventurous new collection that features the most sought after Batman theme from Craig Davison. These new pieces are bound to cause a stir amongst collectors, with many pre-ordering to ensure they don’t miss out! The collection consists of four brand new images which are available both on paper and on canvas and can be purchased as a matching set for a limited time only. In addition to this, we are offering a free limited edition print with each set sold whilst they remain available – which we don’t anticipate to be very long. Sarah Graham, one of our most popular artists, never fails to delight with her bright, fresh work. Louise Dear returns with a fabulous collection of flirty images that are guaranteed to be a success – ‘What Now My Love (Hot)’ and ‘Love (At Sunset)’and Paul Kenton presents his ‘Cities In Motion’ collection, in his unique style. Fresh and funky, these pieces are sure to grab your eye!

The full collection will be available to view in our gallery from Saturday 20th August but we are taking pre orders against items NOW to avoid disappointment. We are expecting a phenomenal response to this new release of work, especially the Craig Davison and Shazia pieces as demand for their work is incredible. Louis Sidoli - WANTED!

As many of you may have already seen advertised in The Journal on November 3rd, here at Castle Galleries Newcastle we have a spectacular exhibition of new work from Louis Sidoli. This fantastic new collection is titled 'Most Wanted' and sees famous faces who have fallen foul of the law! The pictures span from the 1920's to the 1980's and were taken upon arrest of the perpetrators.... all except one that is! Elvis's image is actually a staged photograph taken on a tour of the FBI offices when he was introduced to the then president, Richard Nixon!

Louis had this to say about his new collection of work -

" I like to think of this collection as a bit like Andy Warhols on steroids. I created a series of portraits using vintage mug shots of iconic figures from popular culture, including gansters, rock legends and Hollywood film stars".

"The subjects I have chosen are either my personal favourites or simply because they are great images. Each one has a story behind it, but the real appeal of these images is that everyone loves a bad boy!"

This exhibition will be on display from Saturday 6th of November and will be on display in the run up to Christmas. These limited edition pieces are priced at £399 each framed and make perfect Christmas presents.
