It was a fantastic turn out and a resounding success! We received great feedback and everyone thoroughly enjoyed meeting Bob.

We are excited to announce that Bob Barker will be making an appearance in the gallery on Saturday 26th October between 1-4pm. 

Bob will be making himself available to chat and personally dedicate his brand new collection of limited edition and original artwork entitled Jumpers For Goalposts. We are hoping that Bob will also be doing a live painting whilst in the gallery which would be a fantastic opportunity to see him in action! 



Bob's art resonates with a great many of us, as he adeptly manages to convey the innocence of childhood through to the joie de vivre of adulthood. This collection is no exception; themed around Britain’s most popular sport, Barker takes us on a nostalgic journey beginning in the cobbled streets where children stage their very own Cup Finals each night after school.

In To The Wild

We have launched a new exhibition at the gallery entitled In To The Wild with a selection of work celebrating the natural world. 

The exhibition features original works from masters of wildlife art, depicting a breathtaking portrait of Africa, with vivid scenes of animal behavior. 

Artists include Alan Hunt and Brain Jarvi both of whom have earned international acclaim for their realistic portrayals of wildlife, combining intricate detail, dramatic lighting and anatomical accuracy.

Peter Smith - Bloodlines - IN THE GALLERY NOW!

It’s been nearly two years since the original Lost Impossimals made their debut in The Complete Twistory collection after our story opened with the discovery in 2010 of a forgotten crate at the National Museum of Antiquities.

A crate full with paintings of Lost Impossimals, creatures painted by the equally mysterious explorer Charles Burroughs whose diaries and field notes found along with them helped us understand that there is a secret history, a natural twistory to the Lost Impossimals intertwined with our own.

Over the last twelve months I have worked on just twelve paintings, each one starting with a scene built in miniature, scenes that have covered streets, kitchens, meadows, shops, clock towers, underwater and even one set in a fortune telling amusement cabinet.

To all that was added objects, a little fewer than three hundred were painted with weird items like sandwiches, bank notes, guns, false teeth and balloon whisks. Add a sprinkle of hidden objects, codes to break and things to find twisted with popular culture and icons to mix it all up. Then came the names, a Slurping Sipper Slosher, The Rampant Jekylled Whatabanker, not your normal names I think you would agree.

Finally the stories, a series of letters passed between two people that chart the discovery and history behind each painting culminating in a murderous game of cat and mouse.

Hidden in the paintings is a solution, a solution to a murder revealed for the first time in letters passed between the museum and Perplex Research, the laboratory investigating the latest batch of Lost Impossimals.

So welcome to the research site for Bloodlines, a mentally unstable dash through history where you will discover just what the Lost Impossimals are really all about and maybe solve a murder before the body count rises…

Bob Barker Release Marks The Start Of Autumn Offerings

The weather is drifting away from the wonderful warmth of summer now, and although this is a shame for many, here at Castle Fine Art Newcastle, we can think of two great reasons to celebrate. August marks the kick off of another football season and Castle Fine Art prepares to flood galleries with the Autumn collection.

We all know how devoted Geordie's are to football, so we hope you all share our excitement in seeing a new collection of football themed works by Northern artist Bob Barker, ahead of the official Autumn collection. 

The title of the works, "Jumpers For Goalposts" perfectly captures the nostalgia for evenings spent with friends playing the nations favorite game, dreaming of playing on a larger scale, only to be awakened by the shouts of parents calling you home!
