Bob Barker Release Marks The Start Of Autumn Offerings

The weather is drifting away from the wonderful warmth of summer now, and although this is a shame for many, here at Castle Fine Art Newcastle, we can think of two great reasons to celebrate. August marks the kick off of another football season and Castle Fine Art prepares to flood galleries with the Autumn collection.

We all know how devoted Geordie's are to football, so we hope you all share our excitement in seeing a new collection of football themed works by Northern artist Bob Barker, ahead of the official Autumn collection. 

The title of the works, "Jumpers For Goalposts" perfectly captures the nostalgia for evenings spent with friends playing the nations favorite game, dreaming of playing on a larger scale, only to be awakened by the shouts of parents calling you home! 

The release includes a number of original oil paintings, and pencil sketches, as well as five signed limited edition prints. The prints, as pictured below, are now on display at the gallery, so feel free to call by and take a look for yourself.

Bob Dylan | The Drawn Blank Series 2013

Castle FineArt Newcastle are delighted to be able to present to you the latest instalment from Bob Dylan’s critically acclaimed ‘The Drawn Blank Series’ ahead of the official worldwide release on the 10^th August.

2013 sees the release of signed limited graphics five years on from the debut publications from this critically acclaimed collection.

Widely recognised as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Dylan continues to provide fans with an insight into the mind of one of the most creative minds of our time. This year’s release comes in a year when Bob Dylan is more popular than ever, having recently received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, in 2012 the highest award available to a civilian, recognising an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavours.

This new collection comprises of eleven images featuring six never before published titles from ‘The Drawn Blank Series’ as well as vivid new interpretations of some of his most iconic works. The 2013 release includes 6 ‘standard format’ pieces, 4 ‘medium’, and one very special large piece depicting the now iconic ‘Train Tracks’ image. Here at Castle Fine Art Newcastle, we are delighted to be able to present to you 'Raw Instinct' by Ronnie Wood.

The Ronnie Wood ‘Raw Instinct’ collection comprises of original artwork, paintings, drawings, sketches, lyrics and other writings, hand-painted and embellished guitars as well as both unique and limited-edition prints. The works from this collection act as a pictorial biography of Ronnie Wood’s thrilling life experiences, guiding us through half a century’s worth of life and music from the perspective of an incredibly talented individual.

Before beginning his musical career Ronnie Wood received formal art training at Ealing College of Art, London.Throughout the years, the artist and the musician have been inseparable. As his musical career progressed, Ronnie continued his passion for painting and drawing; his subjects ranging from band members and musicians he admired, knew and sometimes played with, to family and close friends'.

It is as natural to find Ronnie with a pencil as with a guitar, drawing portraits of contemporaries and finding inspiration from his musical influences.

To celebrate the opening of our brand new Castle Fine Art Gallery on Grey Street, we are delighted to announce 4 brand new boutique limited edition prints from some of the North East's finest artists.

Alexander Millar, Keith Proctor and Craig Davison have very kindly completed some fantastic new images for us. Each image is only an edition of 50 and are available EXCLUSIVELY from us here in Newcastle.

We have two brand new images from Alexander Millar. The 'View From a Bridge' piece has been produced due to popular demand following on from his spectacular museum exhibition 'The Working Man'. This piece was first exhibited at the The Great North Museum: Hancock in 2010 and it has stayed in the hearts of everyone who saw it. Featuring the iconic Tyne Bridge, this piece would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection.

Following the success of the piece 'H'Way The Lads', Alex has kindly produced another brand new image for us which is aptly named 'Geordie Boys'. Again there will only be 50 of these produced and in a change to the 'H'Way The Lads' piece, all of these will be printed on canvas on board. If you missed out last time hurry up and give us a call!

Keith Proctor's beloved Jack is back, hand in hand with his Dad, skipping off to the match for his first ever game in the fantastic piece 'Going To The Match'. Here in the gallery we think that this piece would make a fantastic Christmas present - hey! it's not too long away now!
